⚽ God Of War Ps5 Hdr Settings
My settings are default game optimizer settings with the exception of warm 50 white balance and 60 in color depth to compensate for that yellows looks bad in HDR compared to SDR on my PS4. So I got God of War for ps4 which many people say does HDR perfectly. My first feeling was that it looks too vibrant and both shadows and highlights crush.
Currently knock it down to 80 and it's about right. Haven't reach later areas , wonder if there are areas too dark or bright for this setting (no spoilers please) I messed around with it a ton then ended up setting it back at 50 and leaving it there. I turned it off completely on the PS5, in the PS5 Video Settings.
Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, Far Cry 5, God of War all had excellent HDR on PS4 Pro, sometimes without any sliders or settings even. They just ran perfectly out of the box. Then slowly it creeped into AC Valhalla, Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher 3 Version 1.5 that games from major studios had broken HDR.
Backlight: 7 (a bit more if too dark to taste) Noise Reduction: off (via Roku app) Local contrast: High. Natural cinema: On. TV Brightness: Brighter. 4K: hdmi ports on 2.0 for the 4K/hdr goodies. All other settings not mentioned should be set to "off" or zero "0." Any individual R, G, or B color subcontrols, if present, should remain at their
Auto black level on tv and auto rgb range on ps5 is the best setting. On the LG oled c9, you need to switch the hdmi input to pc to get auto black level setting. Yes exactly. This is what I did. Not for GoW specifically, but the HDR only needs to be calibrated on the console once, and any in game changes can be made to suit the individual. I just left the in game settings at default, and just got through a play through in which I was more than happy with how the game looked.
It doesn't look washed out at all. Some areas are bleaker than other places, but overall the game is extremely colorful with HDR turned on. I'm using a Samsung KS9000, and all the HDR settings are at 50, which is the standard settings. "Don't tell me what I can't do!" 03david_re (Topic Creator) 5 years ago #3.

When played on a PS5, God of War: Ragnarök features four unique graphics options with two of these locked behind display capabilities. Firstly, the two modes feature completely different LOD
I like it by default. I've adjusted my HDR natively (if you will) -- through a 3rd party program and I don't often need to adjust it in-game. depends on your screen. if you give the info of what screen you own. someone might help you. 50/75 looks about right for me. Thanks for the responses.
1. From the Home Screen main menu, locate and enter “Settings,” which you can find on the upper right corner. 2. In the “Settings” menu, enter “Screen and Video.”. 3. In the “Screen and Video” menu, select “Video Output” on the list from the left side of the screen and then “RGB Range” on the right side of the screen.
